King's Cross Railway Lands Group (KXRLG)

Consultation timetable on Argent Revised Planning Application 2005 for Kings Cross Central (the Kings Cross Railway Lands):

Camden and Islington Councils are continuing to consult local people primarily through the King's Cross Development Forum. Their consultations will be managed by Planning Aid for London, paid for by the applicants. The following timetable was issued on 20 September and the Railway lands Group has inserted its own general meeting at an appropriate point.

Monday 26 September, 1900h-2100h Committee Room 2, Camden Town Hall
Open meeting to discuss these procedures.

Saturday 1 October 1000-14400 German Gym
Presentation of Argent;s revisions to their application, made by Council officers.

Monday 3 October 1900-2100, Working Men's College, Crowndale Road: Design, Heritage, Open Space
Thursday 6 October 1900-2100, German Gym: Transport
Monday 10 October, 1900-2100, German Gym: Housing and Community Facilities + Islington Triangle site
Thursday 13 October, 1900-2100, German Gym: talk by Argent
Monday 17 October, 1900-2100, German Gym: Environment and Sustainability, Employment, training
Thursday 20 October, 1900-2100, Working Men's College, Crowndale Road: Forum meeting 'for review and reflection'.

Saturday 5 November, 1400-1800: Railway Lands Group General Meeting to decide on the RLG response. Venue to be announced.

Tuesday 8 November: German Gym, Forum meets to finalise PAL report on responses from all the KXDF meetings.

>Tuesday 15 November, Committee Room, Camden Town Hall, KXDF Coordinating Group meets to sign off PAL report.

Friday 21 November: deadline for submisssion of objections and comments to Camden Council

February 2006: Councils expect to make a decision on the Application

Meanwhile members are advised that the Mayor's office is inviting community observations on the Central London Development Framework and the King's Cross "Opportunity Area" and the deadline for this is October 28. More about that here.
